About Bright Adults
Are you craving simplicity yet get bored if things are not complex or colourful (enough)?
Are you reasonably or very structured and organized (from the outside) yet were called “all over the place”, and felt inner chaos and lost in translation when juggling or trying to convey your vision, multiple ideas and definitions of concepts?
Have you lived with a harsh inner critic – a reflection of your constant striving for excellence and high standards?
For Bright Adults, phases of overthinking and procrastinating (or rather keeping ourselves busy with research and procrastivity) regularly alternate with flow and creativity, leading to massive productivity and output – and completely losing the sense of time.
Right?

Did people call you…
(for the sake of simplicity in alphabetic order)
- all over the place
- capricious
- complicated
- dilettante
- flighty
- a know-it-all
- picky
- inconsistent
But you would say…
… that you are rather (without any specific order):
- (insatiably) curious
- loving autonomy
- complex
- zippy
- an out-of-the-box thinker
- spunky
- analytical
- The list could go on 🙂

Have you been told or think sometimes that you are
- overwhelming people (too deep, too intense)
- too much
- too direct
- confusing others (but you don’t understand why)
- overly empathic
- too sensitive
What if… all the aspects above that are linked to behaviours and qualities were correlated to something else…?
There are quite a few concepts describing you, but you don’t like to be put in a box (or even worse, put a label on)… That’s why I like to keep it general.
Are you a Curious Creative?
There is a great variety in how “being bright” can show up. There are overlaps with the concepts of Highly Sensitive Person and Multipotentialites. And there are certain subgroups with clusters of characteristics. This website and the Creative Prosperity Framework are especially tailored for people who are Curious & Creative. People like us love to learn new things and to accumulate knowledge; they also like to think things through.

They like to experiment and improvise. Yet there is this need to control and know where they are going, this urge to see the big picture – and above all – to know WHY…

Creativity is one of the 24 VIA Character Strengths. It can show up in various ways, but mainly with a capital or ordinary C. You don’t need to be an artist or scientist to be a Curious Creative. You need to like thinking out of the box, connecting dots, and exploring topics, plus teaching yourself stuff. More about this soon in a separate article.
Sense and Sensitivity invites you to a journey of exploration, self-(re-)discovery, and treasure hunt.
Curious Creatives are also smart & sensitive as well as strong & sensible, as you may have guessed. And empathic & ethical. I hope you are not allergic to alliterations – the majority of people are very fond of them 😉
Are you ready to flourish and prosper?
If this made you (even more) curious, and you would love to:
- Stop hindering yourself from showing up as the best version of yourself,
- Stop dimming your light (aka intellectual capacities and creative power)
- and figure out how to flourish and prosper instead…

As a thank you, I’ll send you access to three video interviews where I am talking with two experts, Willem Kuipers and Paula Prober, about the concepts of Extra Intelligent Persons and Rainforest Minds: what characteristics they have, how you can spot them, and why they are prone to self-doubt, perfectionism and procrastination.
